However, the good news is that the new agency we were recently approved for has a situation for us to present. This mother is in Utah and is due with a baby boy on May 1st. I have spoken with her case manager at the adoption agency, Michelle, and I really like her and the situation. Our profile will be presented either today or tomorrow. Hopefully we will have an answer soon.
On another note, I had the opportunity to meet with two Adoptive Mothers and another soon to be Adoptive Mother like myself last night. Carlee got the four of us together to talk and encourage one another. It was wonderful! It is always uplifting to talk to women who understand how I feel and what I am going through. We shared our struggles but also spent a large portion of the evening laughing and smiling. I left feeling thankful that God has chosen me to be an Adoptive Mother.
To wrap up this post, I wanted to share about Regan, our St. Bernard. She is doing ok. She is still as happy and sweet as always. She has grown accustomed to her morning peanut butter/pill sandwich routine and knows when she is due. Her limp has remained the same. I received a call from our Vet yesterday and the results of the biopsy are not what we wanted... it looks like bone cancer. Our plan is to keep her as comfortable as we can until we have to make that terrible decision that I cannot even type. This is heart breaking news for us, but we are doing ok. We are thankful that we have had her as our dog for this time in our lives. We will never love another dog like we love Regan. Even the vet on the phone said she was one of the most lovable dogs she has worked with. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement through this.
