Here is the latest on Levi and E. E went home on Saturday and has been home on bed rest since then. She had a follow up appointment with her doctor yesterday and everything is looking good. Levi is officially at the 32 week marker which is an answer to prayer. Now we hope he will hold off for another 3 weeks to make it to 35 weeks. His amniotic level is still low, but the leak is extremely slow and has not changed much since E was admitted. His heart rate is great and he does not seem to be in distress. All great news!
Since E is home on bed rest she is extremely bored and frustrated. Please keep E in your prayers. She has 3 other little ones at home and being on bed rest is very hard for her. Also pray for her health and safety. One of the big risks now is infection. She is on antibiotics and has not had a fever (sign of infection) so far.
I am going to do a post dedicated to our finances and fundraising soon. However, you all have shown an overwhelming support/interest and have had questions on where/how to send money. I am going to post the best way to do this which includes the address to our church. Since I want to keep this blog free of addresses that could link us to our hometown, I will remove this section of the blog in a few weeks.
The best way to donate and receive a tax deduction is to write a check directly to our church: Elston Family Church. You can then write our names on the envelope and/or write a brief note stating the money is for Jarred & Shannon Adoption Fund. Please do not write our names on the check anywhere. That can negatively impact the tax deduction you might receive. Mail or hand deliver the checks to the following address:
Elston Family Church
2424 US 231 South
Lafayette, IN 47905
As always, you can also use the Donate Button on this blog. The difference between that and giving through our church is the tax deduction. Also, Paypal takes a small percentage of the donation to cover their fees. Thank you for your prayers and financial support! I will update our puzzle soon and give a HUGE shout out to all of the people who have generously donated.
